I’m trying to figure out if it’s a simple sensor issue or something more serious. Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your solution? Would love some advice before I head to the dealership!

I had the P06DE code pop up on my 2014 Grand Cherokee a while back, so I totally get the concern. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty oil pressure sensor. The sensor is relatively easy and inexpensive to replace, so it’s worth checking that first.

If you’re handy, you can swap it out yourself. Just make sure you get an OEM part to avoid any future headaches. However, if the sensor replacement doesn’t clear the code, it might be something more serious like an issue with the oil pump or the solenoid, and that’s when you might need to head to the dealership. But I’d start with the sensor—it fixed the problem for me.
