The manual for my Grand Cherokee says it needs OAT coolant with MS-12106 spec, but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Anyone else using this, or is there a better option?

You’re spot on with the OAT coolant and the MS-12106 spec for your Grand Cherokee. I’ve got the same setup in mine, and I stick with the Mopar OAT coolant—it’s what the Jeep manual recommends, and it’s designed specifically for our engines. I haven’t had any issues with it, and it keeps everything running smoothly.

Some folks try to mix coolants or use different types, but honestly, it’s not worth the risk. Using anything other than the recommended OAT with MS-12106 can cause corrosion or other long-term issues. So, I’d say stick with the Mopar stuff or any coolant that clearly states it meets the MS-12106 spec. Better to play it safe and keep your engine happy!
