Hey everyone, I recently got a warning about a brake hold system problem in my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it’s freaking me out a bit. The brake hold feature is supposed to hold the vehicle in place without needing to keep your foot on the brake when you’re at a stop, but now I’m not sure if it’s safe to drive or if something major is wrong.
I’ve done some research, but the information out there is kind of scattered.
Some people say it’s just a minor sensor issue, while others are talking about potential problems with the ABS system or brake fluid levels. I’m really not sure how serious this is, and I’d rather not mess with the braking system if it could affect safety.
Has anyone else had this issue? Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did it require a trip to the mechanic? I’m wondering if it’s just a simple reset or something more expensive like replacing a sensor or even a module. I’d appreciate any advice or experiences from anyone who’s dealt with this before.
