Title: How to Reset the Oil Life on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Threaded Mode
#1
I just did an oil change on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I’m having trouble resetting the oil life indicator. Has anyone else done this successfully? What’s the exact process? If there are any tricks or things to watch out for, I’d really appreciate the advice!

I’ve been there with my 2014 Grand Cherokee, so I know the drill. To reset the oil life indicator, here’s what you do:
  1. Turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  2. Slowly press the gas pedal all the way down three times within 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the ignition off.

After that, when you turn the ignition back on, the oil life should be reset to 100%. No special tricks, but just make sure you press the pedal all the way down each time. If it doesn’t work the first time, try it again—it’s easy to miss that 10-second window.
