Title: What is the proper lug nut torque for a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Threaded Mode
#1
Hey everyone, I’m getting ready to rotate the tires on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I suddenly realized I have no idea what the proper lug nut torque should be!  I’ve done tire rotations on other vehicles before, but this is my first time doing it on my Jeep, and I definitely don’t want to mess it up.

From what I understand, if you overtighten the lug nuts, you could end up damaging the studs, which would be a total pain (and expensive) to fix. On the other hand, I definitely don’t want to under-torque them and risk the wheels coming loose while I’m driving!

Can anyone tell me the correct torque setting for a 2015 Grand Cherokee? Is it the same across different years, or does it vary depending on the model? I’ve heard anywhere between 100 and 130 ft-lbs, but I’d like to be sure before I start cranking down on the wrench. Any help or advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
