Title: How to diagnose alternator overcharging in a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Threaded Mode
#1
Hey folks, I’m having some electrical issues with my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I’m starting to think my alternator might be overcharging the battery. How do you diagnose this? Are there any obvious signs I should look for, like a swollen battery or something else?
Do I need a multimeter to check the voltage, and if so, what readings would confirm overcharging? Has anyone dealt with this before? I’d really appreciate some advice before I end up frying my battery or worse. Thanks in advance!
