Title: What’s the best battery replacement for a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Threaded Mode
#1
Battery shopping for your Jeep is like picking out the right pet—it needs to be reliable, long-lasting, and not too temperamental. I’m looking to replace the battery in my 2019 Grand Cherokee and could use some recommendations. What brands have worked well for you? Or should I stick with the OEM battery?

I went through this recently with my 2019 Grand Cherokee, and I totally get the struggle of picking the right battery. I ended up going with a DieHard Platinum AGM Group Size H7 battery, and it’s been rock solid so far—no issues even in colder weather. The AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries like this one are great because they offer better performance, especially in extreme temperatures, and they tend to last longer. If you’re looking for something reliable and long-lasting, DieHard or Optima are both solid choices. Optima’s RedTop Group Size 34 is another excellent option, especially if you want something with a bit more durability and resistance to vibration.

For the 2019 Grand Cherokee, you’ll need a Group Size H7 battery, which is also known as 94R. This size is the exact fit for your Jeep and ensures you’re getting the right cold cranking amps (CCA) and reserve capacity for your vehicle. The DieHard Platinum AGM I mentioned has 850 CCA, which is more than enough to handle cold starts and any extra electrical demands.

If you’ve been happy with the OEM battery, sticking with the Mopar Group Size H7 isn’t a bad option either. These are specifically designed for Jeep vehicles, so you know they’ll fit and function properly. Plus, Mopar batteries typically come with a good warranty, giving you some extra peace of mind.

Ultimately, it comes down to whether you’re looking for an upgrade with something like DieHard or Optima, or if you’re just looking for a dependable replacement with the OEM Mopar battery. Either way, make sure you stick to the Group Size H7, and you’ll be set.
